Long Winter

Hmmm, how should I say. I came to Canada with the feeling that I am going to love winter. I actually love winter so much, however it seems a bit longer than I expect. Now the weather comes back to around zero degree C. Snow is almost gone and it will be gone by the end of this week. I am kinda longing for Spring to COME. I can't wait to see the green grasses and flowers every corner of the street. I can't wait to hear the bird singing.... Wow it sounds a bit cheesy, but I love it.
--------------- ------------------------ -----------------
Three more months and a week to go, I will be back in my beloved country. I can't wait for that. I want to see my nephew, my niece, my brother and sisters , my Mom and my Dad, my Grandmas, my cousins, my aunts and uncles, my relatives, and my church family. I bet they are waiting to see me too. Since I have been here, I missed four of my best friends weddings. I know both the bride and the groom. I missed two of my cousin weddings. And I am going to miss another two my friend's weddings. Wow everybody is getting married.

------------- ----------------- -------
However, I also start to miss the life out here. I am starting to miss the fun I have at work. My co-workers and my boss are nice to me. Well, we have fun working together. I also to start to miss my family out here. My host parents, they are very nice. However, I feel that I have not been a good.... well I don't want to talk about that... I am going to miss my friends my church. Most important thing, I am going to miss my beloved one, IVEPers. We spend time sharing, enjoying life together... It is such a fun time we spend together. Wow... one side.. one year out here in Canada is very long but the other side... it is so short. I felt like it just happened.

Calgary

I went to Calgary for the weekend. I stayed with Rebekka's 2nd host family, Jossie and Arnon. They are very nice couple. They took me to the mountain, biking. It was so much fun. The first 15 minutes biking up the mountain, I thought I was going to die. However, I managed to get to the top. It worth the trip. I got to see the beautiful rockies mountain. The next day, Rebekka's sponsor took us back to the moutain again. I did not mind to see the mountain again. Here are some of the pictures I took.

City of Calgary from the Bridge.

Biked to top of the moutain.

Oh Rockies.

Olympic Plazza.

Just have fun.

Igloo

Warming up around fire and eating S'mose...(Whatever) under a full reflection moon.
Just wondering what it feels like to sleep outside the house and in the snow hotel. Lots of poeple pays $$ to sleep in the Ice Hotel... Well we just make one and sleep for free.

Getting ready....

It was a great night but it was not a greatest night...

I don't think mom and dad would let me sleep in the igloo... So I just help Sheila to make the igloo. Sheila and Lien

Iwan got out with a smile, so it was ok.

At least we have two Canadians joined us... Lorissa, Lynet, and Sheila

Pictures

Rachel suggested that I should post more pictures of myself. Well, now it is time to screw up my blog. :D
Coming to Canada, learning new things, everything in my life is growing rapidly and noticeable. My knowledge, my faith, my perspectives.... but one thing that grows the most is my hair. ;)

This should be my first few weeks in Canada. There was a Corn Festival. I got a corn for free.

We were traveling back from Riverton, small city in Northern Manitoba and rushed back to the MTS Center for Canada Festival with Franklin Graham. Oh I got a new glass.

Iwan, Bora and Sheila

I actually like messy hair. I like it to stay wet all the time. My goatee is growing too.

This is the family that hosted me during the mid-year conference. Mr. and Mrs Weibe and Bora
Do you notice my hair? I love my African friends
I was in my room, taking picture of myself. This is my bedding style. I like it the most.
Another thing.... my hair is turning from black to brown now.
